Description
In the grand tradition of people putting up with crap to get ahold of their precious indie rock, we have the Triple Inchophone. The White Stripes have just started selling these 3-inch vinyl spinners exclusively on their live tour, along with their major singles in the rather odd format. They're also releasing a 3-inch only original titled "top special" that should make the Sub Pop singles club proud. They originally planned to put about 3,000 of these players into the hands of rabid hipsters, but that number got narrowed down to 400 so good luck obtaining one. What makes the Triple Inchophone so rare, is when Jack and Meg invested in buying the machines from Bandai they were under the impression there were one thousand units ready for distribution. Some wires were obviously crossed, because in fact, the company had destroyed all but 400 of them, instantly raising the value of the player. Add to the equation that the one of the seven available singles was the previously unreleased track, “Top Special”, (which to this day is still officially unavailable on any other format) and you’ve got yourself a small fortune. These included Hotel Yorba, Hotel Yorba is the lead single from White Blood Cells, by the White Stripes, and their first single to be released commercially. ... Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground, Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground is a single by the White Stripes from their album White Blood Cells. ... Fell in Love with a Girl, Fell in Love with a Girl is the name of a song by The White Stripes. ... Seven Nation Army, Seven Nation Army is the first track on the album Elephant by American rock band The White Stripes. ... Hardest Button to Button (with an alternative sleeve), and Blue Orchid (also with an alternative sleeve) Blue Orchid is a song by the The White Stripes from their latest album, Get Behind Me Satan, released as a single in 2005. ... Also released was a never before track "Top Special" only to be released in the 3 format.# The "Top Special" single was rumoured to be limited to only 150 copies. So not even everyone who bought an inchophone got a "Top Special". BRAND NEW IN ORIGINAL BOX NEVER BEEN PLAYED. INCLUDES ALL 3" SINGLES.
