Lead singer, Jim Morrison, was considered a visionary/poet but was also featured in teen magazines. Likewise, their work became full of contradictions. The Doors' albums featured both blatant attempts at the top 10 ("Hello I Love You," "Touch Me") and winding, complicated epics ("When the Music's Over," "The Soft Parade"), both simple love songs ("We Could Be So Good Together," "You Make Me Real") and bloody timepieces ("Five to One," "The Unknown Solider").
