Many of the CDs we bought are from liquidation close-out or from store-closing sales. These type of sales require us to take the whole truckload regardless of quantity or title. We are using many of the CDs for our normal business, but there are simply too many. This is where you come in. I had the boys go through the stacks. I told them to fill boxes with CDs by pulling out 5 copies of a particular title (and NEVER more than 5 copies). For a few titles that we’re running out of, they picked only one or two copies. I also told them to pick out a maximum of 50 singles or maxi-singles. I wanted at least 950 full length albums for the auction. When they asked about 2-CD sets, I told them to quit foolin’ around and count ‘em as one, just like any normal person would do. THE CDS You’re gonna get what ever we got without any cherry picking. Some CDs will have a PA sticker (which normally sells for a higher price). Some CDs will have a liquidation mark - such as a saw kerf in the case edge. Some CDs (only a few) will have a cracked case. Some, while factory new, were never wrapped in plastic. Whatever we got, you get. There are NO Demos, Promos, CD-Rs, used CDs, etc. included. There are some still in original long-boxes, almost all are in jewel cases. The great majority are retail-regular factory new, still sealed.  All types of genres - Jazz, Trance, Soundtracks, Rap, Comedy, Alternative, Pop, Rock, Ska, Dance, Country, Blues and on and on.  Check out our other previous auctions to see some of the titles that will be included (obviously, not every one of those 1,000 titles will be included in this selection). THE MIX There will be 1,000 music CDs in the boxes (actually, a bit more - we counted the 2-CD sets as just one and then added a skoch more just to be safe). There will be a maximum of 50 singles or maxi-singles. There will be 950 full length albums (again, actually a bit more - see above). There will be more than 200 different titles (the guys didn’t pull a maximum of 5 copies for every title - to your benefit). THE ORIGINAL RETAIL SALES PRICE FOR THE CDS TOTAL MORE THAN $16,000 ! WHO  This large of a selection is meant for a small independent music store. Depending on your niche, some (many?) titles will go immediately to shelve stock at full retail. Put some of the rest in a box near the cash register with a sign "Your choice! $4.99!" Or, this selection can be broad, new stock for a flea market seller. Or, for someone *with a lot of internet selling savvy*, this selection can add to your business (not meant for newbies). Or, these CDs can be used for company holiday gifts, or promotion prizes. DELIVERY The order will be shipped in 6 boxes. There will be 5 boxes about 1.3 cf each weighing about 43 lbs and a sixth 1.3 cf box weighing about 25 lbs. Since almost all of the CDs are in jewel cases, the total weight of all 6 boxes is about 240 lbs. We will ship however you choose. The best deal we’ve been able to find is to use the Post Office. They have a low cost method called Media Mail. We estimate that the charges from USPS will be $98.00 for all six boxes. If shipping insurance is desired (we will NOT make up lost or damaged portions), the Post Office charges $1.65 per box, for an additional amount of $9.90. 1-15-07 NOTICE: New stock mixed in. If you bought before, at least 20% of the titles are different! If you can figure out a cheaper method, we will use the company of your choice. Alternately, you can pick up the order at our warehouse in Nashua, NH 03060 and we’ll charge nothing for shipping (restrictions apply - such as normal business hours, only one pick up, payment received before scheduling pick up, etc.). Since the boys were lazy and typically used piles of same CDs, there will be almost identical, if not exact, repeats for the successive auctions of this size.
