Description
Extremely rare piece of sporting memorabilia. This is number 8 of only 15 caricatures drawn by Scott "Boo" Bailey - award winning sports cartoonist for the Dailey Telegraph and Sunday Telegraph. It depicts Sir Donald "The Don" Bradman at Leeds vs Englands in 1930 and Mark "Tubby" Taylor at Peshawar vs Pakistan in 1998 scoring 334 runs. Mark Taylor retired on 334 so as not to overcome "The Don's" record. This rare piece is the last offical signature piece signed by Bradman before his unfortunate death on the 25/1/2001, having been done in March 2000. There are only 15 in existence and this perfectly preserved piece is indeed a slice of cricket history that basically no-one posesses. Most other sporting memorabilia is offered publicly as 1 of 500 or more. This piece has been procured via private sale, not available to the public, and will never be available again. Other pieces in the collection have sold at auction for over AUD$15,000. Only serious bidders please and delivery will have to be negotiated as this is an important piece of Australian sporting history.
