This piano is owned by a semi retired opera star who has pampered this instrument for many years. This piano is in excellent condition!! I personally have inspected this instrument, and used the appraisal of late 07 to write the most accurate description as possible. After crawling underneath, and going end to end, over the top and bottom with a felt cloth to asses damage and photo I can say...This is an awesome instrument!!. There are no chips,  dents, or gouges in the body or legs, there is no major, or minor scratching on the finish. The foot pedals are undamaged and in great condition. The keyboard has great action and plays with no resistance!  This Grotrian-Steinweg was restored in 2003 with Renner parts. Since it's restoration this instrument has recieved light duty! Playing only for student voice lessons. The model is 220, the serial number is 90839, size is 220cm, or 86.5 inches in length the color, or finish is satin ebony. The style of this piano is considered contemporary, the date of it's manufacturing was in 1962, and the manufacturer whom made this piano is located in Braunschweig, Germany.  A recent appraisal in late 2007 puts a replacement value of $63,051, and a retail value of $40,025. These calculations were made as fair trade values reflecting current new piano prices.
