Description This great collectible is a cassette lot from the cult TV series Dark Skies. I have heard through tvondvd.com that they are getting ready to release Dark Skies on DVD probably next February, but they are having trouble with music rights and trying to resolve those. In the meantime, I found in one of my boxes of stuff, a few great Dark Skies rarities - two promotional cassettes of Dark Skies music! The first is simply a version (I'm not sure if it's the final version or not) of the theme music for the opening of the show.  It's called Title Sketch #7 and dated 8/7/96 - the month before the show began.  The editing had not been completed yet I assume as the show was still tinkering with the music! The second is called "The Music of Dark Skies" and is either one of two things - just a music tape to be approved from the pilot or the first few episodes (this is my guess - I don't have the info on the music played and I don't have any of the episodes of this great show)...OR a compilation to put on an upcoming soundtrack for the show.  There are 15 songs, so this is a distinct possibility as well... In any case, these two are VERY rare and one of a kind items at this date - Dark Skies premiered 11 years ago on NBC as part of the Saturday Thrillogy with Pretender and Profiler.  It was the only one that didn't make the cut for the next season (nor could NBC ever find a third show for the Thrillogy to last more than one season).  The list of music on the Music of Dark Skies is: 1.
