Description
Hello everyone, these came from our warm family home and I hope they go to another good home. From my collection and it is the ONLY set on eBay! Something like this doesnt show up very often, if at all. Please serious bidders only. And of course Good luck!    ALL are a 1st press ORIGINAL 1954 & 1955 classic rockabilly sound--VERY thick and VERY heavy:     Provenance; Originally Family owned Elvis SUN 45 RPM's: all come with original brown paper sleeves & outer plastic sleeves and play with minimal but normal SUN hiss (because of low technology back then)- NO skips or pops, ticks. (Except for about 3 pops on 209, the rest fine) Play very well! Smooth otherwise and all are FLAT and THICK discs; THICK labels! 1st press originals! Note the shade of brown, etchings, spacings of etchings, thickness, labels, etc...  Songs are:   {1954}  #209 Thats All Right  b/w Blue Moon of Kentucky  - 3 pushmarks -etchings: u-128-45 (129)  72 (1/4 " spacing or less) VG/VG+    lot of surface blemishes-NO feelable scratches (RCA later added a little bit of extra background sound and I think some echoing- THIS orig. 45 does not have it!)  IN MY 2002 'Goldmine' PRICE GUIDE IT BOOKS AT $6,000 (#209 has sold for over $18,000 in M cond. a few years ago and again for $12,000 right here on ebay within 2 years ago) {1954}  #210 I Don't Care if the Sun Don't Shine  b/w  Good Rockin' Tonight -3 pushmarks -etchings: u-130-45 (131) 72 (1/4 " spacing or less) VG+ , RARE ERROR LABEL: misspelling of Roy Brown as "Ray", BMI credits left out, showing "With Scotty and Bill" instead of only Elvis' name and most 210 copies have-proving an earliest press    2002 Goldmine BOOK AT $3,500 {1955}  #217 I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone  b/w Baby Let's Play House -3 pushmarks -etchings:  u-142-45 (143)-2   72 (1/4" spacing or less) a strong VG+ 'possibly' VG++  (very little hiss)   2002 Goldmine BOOK AT $3,000 {1955}  #223 Mystery Train  b/wI Forgot to Remember to Forget  - (pushmarks were NEVER available on this, ever) etchings: SUN-45-u-156  20  (157)  very strong VG+ to VG++       2002 Goldmine BOOK AT $2,500   ALL were given the fingertip test. There were no scratches when running my fingertip slowly and gently over the play area of all 8 sides. NO noticeable groove wear. As well, ALL play better than visually graded. Of the 8 sides of labels, 7 sides are M-, the VG+ label side is shown on #210   TOTAL 2002 Goldmine BOOK VALUE IS $15,000  (yes fifteen thousand, 6 years ago!) It is currently about 20% MORE than that, TODAY!   You get the set of 4 Elvis original SUN 45's! 1ST presses and family! If you look at a price guide from 16 years ago, the 1992 book values were $200, $200, $150, $150  ($700 total book)!! 16 years, 20 times the value...WHERE will it be in 20 MORE years? Better than gold, oil...what else is skyrocketing as much???! Nothing but these!! Good luck and may these go to a caring home. Insurance is OPTIONAL, --at your own risk--unless you request to me that you wish to have it. (Insurance is 'about' $60.00 for $5,000 max coverage EACH package) 2 packages will then have to be shipped, double boxed of course. If you choose insurance, the post office will be obligated against any claims. I will have documents of sale on file; price, shipping, etc. Please any questions or buyer requests, just ask.   My Research Shows: ....in 2005 , a set of 4 sold for $7,500 in about equal condition. (3 YEARS AGO!!) Another neat fact is that when these 45's were new, gold was a LOT more valuable. NOW each of these are worth literally a LOT more than double their weight in gold!! It is very hard to find a great seller, which there are many here, but to find an authentic 1st press original, is even harder and to have it all in one shot is the hardest especially for a resonable price. You can spend years...on eBay... trying to find decent original copies! If you went to a real live auction, you could probably double your money or even more!   OPTIONAL INSURANCE WILL BE ADJUSTED BY FINAL BID PRICE, EXPRESS SHIPPING- YOU THEN WILL PAY 'LESS' FOR INSURANCE BECAUSE OF DISCOUNT FOR PREMIUM SHIPPING.   PRIORITY, EXPRESS OR YOUR CHOICE OF CARRIER.   Record grading guided by Goldmine (graded in light): MINT: No scuffs, scratches, blotches, stains, labels, writing, tears or splits. Simply perfect. NEAR MINT (NM): A Record that may have one or two tiny, minor flaws such as light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of the sleeves that do not affect play. EXCELLENT (EX or VG+): A Record has been handled and played either very little or very carefully. The vinyl may have lost some but not all of it's original luster or have a slight scratch that doesn't affect play. VERY GOOD (VG): A Record that displays visible signs of handling and playing such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. A VG record may look like it will have some audible surface noise when it is played, although any noise should not overwhelm the music or ruin the listening experience. GOOD (G): The Record is well played, with any number of defects such as complete loss of surface sheen, obvious surface noise, etc.   I pack well, insurance is optional but strongly recommended!! I have thousands more from Rock to Jazz to Metal to Doo Wop, to Psyche, etc. Please check my other auctions and store. MORE to come!! Thanks and good luck!
