Side 1 has 1A stamper codes / Side 2 has 1M stamper codes. This indicates that these are the THIRD & FOURTH sets of stampers struck from the original 1st MOTHER. This is an extraordinarily early pressing, and it is a very rare instance when such an early pressing of the extremely rare original stereo pressing becomes available in the SUPERB condittion that this disc is in. There is an embossed KT tax code stamp on the A - label. The cover is in exceptionally nice condition. There is a very slight bit of laminate crinkling in the top left corner of the front sleeve. The laminate is NOT broken or torn, just a small mark where the cover is not braced by the record. Quite a minor blemish, in my opinion. The FLIP BACK cover is clean and straight, the flaps 100% INTACT, there is a slight bit of discoloration where a tiny bit of glue residue from the original factory manufacturing process may have left a tiny amount in the bottom right rear corner. Not a problem at all, just a natural aspect of aging for a 40 year old cover. The HEAVY WEIGHT VINYL disc is in SUPERB, NEAR MINT condition, really lovely. LOTS OF GLOSS, LOTS OF SHINE, NO SCRATCHES at all. There are a few very light smudges visible on side two, NOT AFFECTING PLAY AT ALL!! This disc plays beautifully, LOUD & CLEAR. The STEREO EFFECTS on these very early first pressings are remarkable, completely BLOWING AWAY ALL subsequent pressings. A STEREO FIRST PRESSING of this classic LP is MUCH, MUCH RARER than the MONO. No comparison really. An interesting aspect to this record is that it is one of the classic example of a circa 1967 LP that is absolutely essential to hear in both mono & stereo versions. Along with a few other contemporary release like Forever Changes, Something Else and Notorious Byrd Brothers both mixes are essential.
