Description
We now have hundreds of programs and Thousands of episodes . This Time...... OLD TIME RADIO PRESENTS! "THE JOY OF CHRISTMAS PAST" 2 CD SET - 200 EPISODES An Early Christmas Present! Purchase any 5 listings and receive "ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS" Free!! ****** Some of these programs were recorded in the early 1930's and 1940's so the sound may not be state of the art that we know today. That is part of the charm of these programs in that what you are hearing is the same thing that people heard when they tuned into these programs. These programs are a part of our country history known as "The Golden Age of Radio". A great number of episodes of these programs have been lost, never to be reproduced, and we do not want to see any more programs disappear. Please join us in perserving this portion of Americana so is doesn't disappear completely. Thank you for looking. Happy Bidding. ****** You may be able to find MP3 discs for less and we could offer ours for less also if we were to cut costs. We could write the title of the program on the disc but we prefer to have a picture lable with the title of the program printed on it; We could put the CD in a paper or plastic sleeve but, again, we prefer to use a quality, sturdy plastic jewel case for each Cd.; we also prefer to use a picture for the jewel case along with a booklet listing the episodes on the CD. We enjoy what we do and we appreciate the friends we have made here on Ebay over the years and we pride ourselves on offering quality products so that is what we will keep producing. These early radio episodes are true American treasures and are must listening to for anyone who grew up in that era. For those a bit younger, it is a window into how your parents and grandparents entertained themselves. Remember, this was the time before most folks had a TV. Before the days of video games, shopping malls, MTV, and the Internet, families used to sit in their living room each night to listen to radio shows such as Superman, Groucho Marx, The Avenger, Gunsmoke, Sherlock Holmes, and many others. When TV become popular in the 1950's, most of these shows went off the air, but they now live on. These shows, which are in the Public Domain, are very difficult to find. After a title search of the Library of Congress Copyright records, no copyright exists on this material; therefore making these programs Public Domain. This material does not violate any copyright laws, and is in compliance with Ebay's policies regarding Public Domain material.   1 Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Music 2 Life With Luigi 12/20/1948 3 Fibber McGee and Molly 12/09/1935 4 Eddie Cantor Show 12/22/1935 5 Benny Goodman 12/23/1935 6 Lights Out Christmas Story 12/22/1937 7 The Fred Allen Show 12/22/1937 8 Jack Benny Christmas Shopping 12/11/1938 9 Mercury Theater Christmas Carol 12/24/1939 10 The Shadow-The Stockings Were Hung 12/24/1939 11 Burns and Allen Christmas Show 12/23/1940 12 Box13 12/26/1940 13 Amos and Andy Christmas Show 12/24/1941 14 Chesterfield Show Christmas Show 12/24/1941 15 Cavalcade of America- A Child is Born 12/21/1942 16 Bing Crosby Christmas Show 12/24/1942 17 O Holy Night Music 18 Red Skelton Christmas Program 12/25/1942 19 Screen Guild Players-Holiday Inn 01/11/1943 20 Coronet Little Show-Gift of the Magi 12/19/1943 21 Suspense-Back for Christmas 12/23/1943 22 Bob Hope-The Christmas Package 12/25/1943 23 Nick Carter's Christmas Adventures 12/25/1943 24 Passing Parade-Special Story of Christmas Carols 1943 25 Abbott and Costello -
