We now have hundreds of programs and Thousands of episodes . This Time...... OLD TIME RADIO PRESENTS! "CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS" 2 DISC SET DISC 1 - JERRY AT THE CIRCUS 130 Episodes DISC 2 - JERRY AT FAIROAKS 64 Episodes ****** Some of these programs were recorded in the early 1930's and 1940's so the sound may not be state of the art that we know today. That is part of the charm of these programs in that what you are hearing is the same thing that people heard when they tuned into these programs. These programs are a part of our country history known as "The Golden Age of Radio". A great number of episodes of these programs have been lost, never to be reproduced, and we do not want to see any more programs disappear. We could write the title of the program on the disc but we prefer to have a picture lable with the title of the program printed on it; We could put the CD in a paper or plastic sleeve but, again, we prefer to use a quality, sturdy plastic jewel case for each Cd.; we also prefer to use a picture for the jewel case along with a booklet listing the episodes on the CD. Old Time Radio Program, a 15 minute series for children, syndicated in 1937 Follows The Adventures Of Jerry and his dog Rags Who joins Sam Randalls Circus after the Death of his Family. It was followed by the series Jerry at Fair Oaks. Jerry at the Circus, a 15 minute series for children, was syndicated in 1937. Taking place after the death of his family, the show followed the life and adventures of young Jerry Dugan raised by the circus owner, Sam Randall. In the premiere episode after the death of his father Jerry brings a note from his father saying that Jimmy "has circus in his blood." From then on he and his dog, Rags, were a member of the circus. This series was followed by Jerry at Fair Oaks. Jerry at Fair Oaks The show follows Jerry Dugan, the orphaned hero, and his adventures away from the circus that he grew up in, at Fair Oaks School. Jerry was raised by his uncle, and owner of the circus, Sam Randall since he was orphaned by the unfortunate deaths of his parents. Come follow Jerry on his jam-packed adventures at Fair Oaks! These early radio episodes are true American treasures and are must listening to for anyone who grew up in that era. For those a bit younger, it is a window into how your parents and grandparents entertained themselves. Remember, this was the time before most folks had a TV. Before the days of video games, shopping malls, MTV, and the Internet, families used to sit in their living room each night to listen to radio shows such as Superman, Groucho Marx, The Avenger, Gunsmoke, Sherlock Holmes, and many others. When TV become popular in the 1950's, most of these shows went off the air, but they now live on. These shows, which are in the Public Domain, are very difficult to find. After a title search of the Library of Congress Copyright records, no copyright exists on this material; therefore making these programs Public Domain.
