Description
The winning bidder on this lot from before was overwhelmed at the mass involved and realized that she didn't have to room to store it for a few years to sell later as she had planned so we mutually agreed to undo the sale. I thought it had gone way too cheap anyway, as I know what is in here. So I am now listing it with a fixed price, which is still a bargain for the buyer, but I need to move beyond this lot. This lot consists of over 4500 45RPM records of mixed genres There is POP, ROCK, COUNTRY and who knows what else? I bought these last winter, went through them and picked out a few (maybe 8 or 10) for my collection and the rest are still in there. I collect 50's 60's pop material but am getting to the point where I have a great deal of it so I pass over much of it that I run across. There are a lot that fit that category still in there. There are also some 70's and a fewer number from the 80's. I would say that the vast majority are 50's, 60's and 70's. Also, any records that I considered trash I threw out. The conditions range from probably good to NM, with most falling into the VG to VG+ area. Maybe more VG+. Some may even be old "new stock" but there wouldn't be many if any in this category. Who can say for sure if they are in a company sleeve and look really good? I haven't looked at them for months other than to pull some out from the easier access boxes to take the pictures. There are pictures sleeves scattered throughout, but not a real high percentage. It looks as though about 80% or so are sleeved, some picture sleeves, some company sleeves and some generic sleeves. The second picture shows a stack on the right. They are empty picture sleeves mostly from the 70's and 80's. Some of the picture sleeves are in great shape, others not so great, but none are complete trash. I believe there are close to 4800 but I'm not into counting them. I can safely say there are well over 4500. These are currently being stored at a friend's house in Marshfield, Mo, and I strongly recommend that they be picked up there. Marshfield is at exit 100 on Interstate 44 in Missouri. If however it is necessary, I will ship these via media mail but because of the volume and weight and the fact that some if not all the boxes would need to be repacked shipping will be $275.00. Payment is expected at the auction's end. These should be picked up within a week or two of auction's end, however I will be reasonable on this if a little more time is needed. If these need to be shipped I will make it happen within a week of so after auction's end but it won't be immediate as I would need to scout up some sturdier boxes and repack them.
