SEE BELOW : 5 albums ORIGINALS / 2 MINT / 2 VGC cassettes costing on average £8.50 each have to be looked after and...........like all of my music............these have been ! All of my listings accurately describe condition and the vast majority are shop quality. They are not faded, jaded and abused - they are not cast-off left-overs. Most are immaculate ! Care of cassettes ensures that excellent audio clarity is maintained : no leaving uncased on the floor, exposure to damp and dusty environments, sitting in hot cars or playing on inferior equipment ! This leads to hiss, dropouts and the dreaded chew-up ! With optimal storage and little play these cassettes are shop quality. With MP3 tracks costing £0.79 each I saved alot of money by converting these tapes to MP3s and the quality is excellent. Assuming a good source tape then there is no difference between a conversion and a direct MP3 purchase ! This is your opportunity to save pounds......tape, yes.........BUT it still sounds great and can still be digitised. Get over the analogue stigma and media hype ! Do your ears and wallet a favour ! Thanks for reading GUARANTEE All of my music - cassettes and CDs - has been meticulously cared for. I have never seen them as disposable commodoties but more as an investment. Whatever the format it is the music that matters ! That is what I was protecting ! That is what I paid for ! I could never understand why people would spend nearly a tenner and then horrendously misuse their music by leaving in hot cars or uncased on the floor or subjecting to dusty or damp environments : and then complain of dropouts, poor audio clarity and dreaded chew-ups ! Like-wise, CDs are mishandled and un-necessarily sustain greasy fingerprints and scratches. Upon purchase the vast majority of these cassettes were used on Sony equipment for tape-to-tape transfer and the original stored at an ambient temperature. During 2007 every cassette here was audio tested and I can honestly state that most sounded, played, looked and even smelt like I had bought them recently ! The vast amount here remain shop quality : not faded, jaded and abused. NONE of my CDs have a single visible to the eye scratch.......so no skips ! My guarantee is that you will be more than happy with audio quality at such a low price........and further.........in the unlikely event of physical damage to the product.........I will provide a replacement. All cassettes and CDs are originals - not copies. If you can get over the stigma that nothing other than digital music is worth having then an opportunity is presented here to save hundreds of pounds - yes, hundreds of pounds and the music can still be digitised for your ipod !! Browse through my listings........they cover all types and genres : there really is something for everyone ! The disdain for analogue recordings is driven by the media and the general public have been sheep in accepting its message : just as the new message not to purchase digital compact discs is also being accepted whole-heartedly. The media insists that MP3s are the only acceptable musical format relevant today........but tomorrow it will be something else ! I find it galling that people donot want to pay a fair price for music - indeed, BBC news reports state that young people expect all music to be free ! Is it not an insult to offer pennies for a massive collection ? These people are not being fair or realistic to sellers. They donot appreciate that a fair bid is still saving them alot of money ! MP3s are just as expensive as vinyl and cassettes used to be - and on a par with cds. In fact, MP3s are now more expensive than cds, [ as proven by people literally giving away thousands of pounds worth , lost to low bidding ! ]. Overall, music has become cheap........but if you invest in MP3 albums and dont just cherry-pick tracks......you are paying just as much as for a physical product. This offer enables massive savings to a bidder because the format is out of favour, despite being upgradeable to MP3. This is a bidders gain.............if only they could see through a belief that analogue is rubbish ! Consider this illustration : The average price for a popular chart cassette was £9.49. Assuming an average 12 tracks per album that makes £0.79 per track. £0.79 is the current standard price for a single MP3 track. Now consider that cassettes and cds sell very poorly - £2.50 per unit as an average - and the price per track becomes £0.21.......thats nearly a three quarter saving !! The debate about audio quality and clarity is over-rated : an analogue / digital conversion to MP3 is, mostly, indistinguishable from a purchased MP3. Perhaps you can now see the potential to get four times as much music without the stigma ! All music can be upgraded to MP3 and I now have my ipod permanently connected to the stereo. The quality is fantastic. Dont have the time, resources, knowledge or inclination to do the conversions ? for a negotiable fee [for my time] I can do the conversions and tagging for you - READY TO PLAY !!
