Promo? Matrix number 1813Rare "Trade Mark of Quality" pressing of Jimi Hendrix recordings, entitled "Smashing Amps". According to the track listing for this release, as well as track listings for other releases, we suspect this album to be a rare collective of songs that were bootlegged from two legitimate Hendrix releases, Ember NR5057 and NR5061. These Ember Records recordings were the masters for the soundtrack of the "Experience" Jimi Hendrix movie, his only featured motion picture. Because our TMOQ album was a blatant bootleg, we suspect that TMOQ left the labels on our records completely blank (refer to our pictures), making this version extremely rare and highly collectible. Furthermore, the matrix number does not bear the JH prefix, most likely for the same reasons why the label was left blank.The music is clear, of a better recording quality than other TMOQ live albums, and is recorded on brilliant green vinyl. The cover is yellow, with a stamp that reads "Jimi Hendrix Smashing Amps", with a circular red TMOQ pig logo sticker. In standard TMOQ tradition, the back cover is left blank. Due to the above listed reasons, we also suspect that the original TMOQ catalogue is not included. For all reasons and purposes, this album is potentially a test or pilot run, or perhaps a bootlegged promotional album!The album sleeve and cover are in Excellent condition, while the album itself is in Mint- to Near Mint condition.
