Its all there and 100% original and authentic. Yngwie Malmsteen played this exact model for many years for all nylon string parts live and on record. Gibson discontinued the CE as they were to expensive to produce. Ask them - they'll confirm. Retailed for 4000 in the early 80's. What's that in today's money? Also this CE is not to be confused with the wider neck CEC Gibson put out after these. The CE is superior in every way. It took me a long time to find this guitar and I'm upset to sell. To many many guitars in to little space plus an upcoming move means one heck of an opportnity for the smart buyers. When are you going to find one of these with original case, unfilled warranty card, etc? CE's are near impossible to find. Factor in the factory custom color .... bid like its not coming around again - cuz its not! Guitar plays great and sounds great. There is finish wear as this guitar has been played a great deal including live. Obviously there is no fret wear as it is nylon string. Very nice neck. No dead spots. The sound is fantastic. Gibson nailed it as this sounds like an acoustic when plugged in. Volume and tone controls on the side of the guitar. Under the control plate are separate volume control mini pots for each string. You have to take the plate off to adjust them. Its not something you want to fiddle with much anyway as once you have the strings balanced you're good. Allows you to adjust for different tension strings - cool! Flaws: finish wear. You can see it all in the photos. No damage but finish wear is evident and all over. Everything works but there is one annoying issue. The under saddle peizo pickup is wired to the controls with a flimsy ribbon cable. This is all original factory. The cable has needed to be reattached twice. I thought about having more robust wiring installed but opted to keep it original. Also the guitar demands a full battery. Once the battery gets weak at all the sound gets "farty". Pro's will use fresh batteries all the time anyway but I mention to be thorough as it is picky about fresh 9 volts. Put a new Duracell in and its crystal. Soon as the battery starts to fade, swap it out. More photos can be found HERE in various lighting conditions to show at its best and worst. No surprises. I accept Paypal, bank wire transfer and certified bank check or postal money order. Bank wire transfer is preferred and guitar will ship as soon as the money hits my bank. Paypal payments will be accepted but the money must be transferred to my bank (3-4 days) before shipment. This is due to paypals rules. If they decide they want to hold funds which they now say they "might" do on all auctions then I cannot ship until they release the funds to my control. I only ship to confirmed Paypal addresses. All cashiers checks must clear which takes 3 weeks. Local cash sale and pickup is of course welcome.
