A stunning Ludwig Hoelscher recording, performing cello works by Boccherini and Saint Saens, accompanied by the Berlin Philharmonic with Otto Matzerath conducting. This record is a MUST for all music collectors and music lovers!! Up for sale is a very rare GERMAN - DGG RECORD LABEL LP item - DGG RECORDS "Yellow" Record Label Pressing with the famous "TULIPS" encircling the label - Red and Blue lettering GERMAN pressing in MONO Record vintage = July 1957 Long out of print and now super rare, this is a highly sought after LP recording: BOCCHERINI Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra in B flat Major SAINT-SAENS Concerto for Violoncello and Orchestra No. 1 in A minor, Op. 33 Performed by -Ludwig Hoelscher, 'celloOtto Matzerath conducting the Berlin PhilharmonicLP catalog # LPEM 19089 CONDITION Details: The LP jacket is in Near Mint minus condition. The jacket is completely intact, with NO seam splits, and shows only mild shelf wear - primarily rounding of corners and weakening of seams. The spine of the jacket is beginning to wear. The colors on the front of the jacket are clean, vivid and bold (see picture below for more detail).The LP is in Near Mint minus condition! The vinyl has one mark on the Saint-Saens side, but this is a superficial scuff which did NOT sound when played on our system. The LP is clean and shiny with perhaps a slight spider mark or two (caused by sliding the LP in and out of the record sleeve)! Overall, a gorgeous and heavy slab of collectors grade vinyl! We spot play graded the LP on our audio system and found it to be in near mint minus condition throughout.The record has a YELLOW record label with the famous TULIPS encircling the entire label, and sporting Red & Blue lettering. The LP is clearly indicated as being issued / pressed in GERMANY, vintage July 1957.A Short Note About LP GRADING -Mint {M} = Only used for sealed items.Near Mint {NM} = Virtually flawless in every way.Near Mint Minus {NM-} = Item has some minor imperfections, some audible. Excellent {EXC} = Item obviously played and enjoyed with some noise.Very Good Plus {VG+} = Many more imperfections which are noticeable and obtrusive.Please understand that this is a very old record - as such, one cannot expect the record to sound like a brand new, audiophile pressing! Some noise is inevitable - for best results, always properly clean your LPs before playing them.The LP is an audiophile quality pressing (any collector of fine MFSL, half speeds, direct to discs, Japanese/UK pressings etc., can attest to the difference a quality pressing can make to an audio system). Takes about TWO (2) weeks to arrive in most USA destinations from Canada after it leaves here (air service), depends on the time of year, etc..
