HERE IT IS! THE RAREST OF THE RARE from DEEP PURPLE! The white label "Promotional Only-Not For Sale" PURPLE PASSAGES double album from 1972... WOW! The WARNER BROS. Record # is: 2LS 2644. The #'s in the trailoff area on side (1.) are: "2LS-2644A 40248-1A" and on side (2.) is: "2LS-2644B 40249-1B". On side (3.) are: "2LS-2644C 40250-1B" and on side (4.) is: "2LS-2644D 40251-1D". The Vinyl Is In VG++ To M- Condition. I have had these two records put away and never played for over 35 years! I recorded it on a reel to reel and stored it. When I played it yesterday for the first time on a high end turntable... I could not believe the sound. Why is the vinyl sound so incredible? First, it is in Near Mint condition and stored very carefully. Secondly, it is a very early pressing for "promotion use only". Audiophiles will agree that these early pressings, also known as "Hot Stamp Pressings" are far superior in sound to the store bought copies. The cover is in VG+ condition... with some ring wear and color worn spines. The spines are all unbroken except for one top spine on this gatefold cover. There is a "Promotional Copy-Not For Sale" stamp on the inside cover. All four labels are in flawless Mint condition with no writing or wear. Flawless!
