BLONDE ON BLONDE, Dylan’s landmark double LP from 1966, is considered by most Dylan-philes as his masterpiece. By blending a rich tapestry of blues, country, folk and rock, BLONDE ON BLONDE is an album of limitless depth filled with lyrical and musical revelations. Recorded in Nashville with Al Kooper and Robbie Robertson, as well as other fabulous session players, the album is filled with cutting guitar riffs and liquid organ fills. Songs like “Rainy Day women #12 & 35”, “Visions of Johanna”, and “Just Like A Woman” are just a few examples of why this album remains as powerful today as it was in 1966. BOB DYLAN - HIGHWAY 61 REVISTED - 180 Gram Limited Edition This Album by Bob Dylan ranked 22nd Best Album of All-Time according to VH-1 poll of musicians, executives and journalists and also ranked by NME’s List of Greatest Albums of All-Time as 14th. Accompanying Dylan on this recording is Mike Bloomfield - guitar (of Electric Flag, Paul Butterfield Blues Band), Al Kooper - piano/organ (Blues Project and Blood, Sweat & Tears), Harvey Goldstein - bass, and Bobby Gregg - drums.   Dylan’s first fully-fledged electric album engendered considerable controversy. Folk purists had already waved good-bye to him but rock had become the meter through which the singer could now best express his vision. Session Organist, Al Kooper, and Blues Guitarist, Mike Bloomfield, those providing free-spirited accompaniment through a collection of songs that re-defined pop music. Wrapped in a raw, hard-driving sound, Dylan’s poems//part beat, part symbolic, part concrete, ensure that contemporaries could no longer rely on traditional forms, and influence immediately apparent on recordings by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. There are lyrics of a generation still to be found on this album  BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME was a massive breakthrough. An Album of two different sides -- Acoustic (his past) and Electric (his future), the music covered a thousand fold -- has among it Maggie’s Farm - Subterranean Homesick Blues - Mister Tambourine Man - Love Minus Zero - and the cosmopolitan political speak of It’s All Right Mama. You can debate -- is it folk or is it rock forever? It is irrelevant. It is merely Dylan at one of its many peaks. BLOOD ON THE TRACKS - Inevitably, this Dylan 1975 classic has positioned itself as what critics use as a barometer to praise any new Bob Dylan Album. They always label it the best since BLOOD ON THE TRACKS and with good reason. Inspired by a crumbled marriage and recorded after a tour with The Band had apparently re-ignited Dylan’s creativity and is why this LP is among Dylan’s best masterpieces. This Album’s epic songs are well-known but its real high points are in the shorter numbers - YOU’RE A BIG GIRL NOW and flawless Blues, MEET ME IN THE MORNING, and the sweetly devastating BUCKETS OF RAIN. These are songs of images and distorted facts each expressed through tangled points of view and all of them blue. Other classics included are TANGLED UP AND BLUE - SIMPLE TWIST OF FATE - IDIOT WIND - YOU’RE GONNA MAKE ME LONESOME WHEN YOU GO - LILY, ROSEMARY AND THE JACK OF HEARTS - IF YOU SEE HER SAY HELLO and SHELTERED FROM THE STORM. A must for any true Bob Dylan fan!!! THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL CONCERT – 1966 - OUT OF PRINT LIMITED EDITION SEALED Rare Overprint (only about 250 pieces were a part of this Overprint Single LP Editions from the Original Mastered Tapes pressed on 180 Gram Vinyl). LP jacket with the Original Artwork. Prior to its release, this recording was only available as a bootleg from the early seventies. In its bootleg form, the record became revered as one of the most highly sought after bootleg ever. Recorded on May 17, 1966 in Manchester, England, this monumental Electric performance captures Dylan in a pivotal moment of his career. at Bob Dylan’s famous ROYAL ALBERT HALL CONCERT.. This concert tour was probably the most controversial ever of an artist transforming music before the very eyes of the audience. During this tour, Dylan has two sections within his performance. The first is acoustical (to which one LP is dedicated). The second changes music forever when he goes electric. In 1966, I saw this concert in the U.S. (the opening act was Simon & Garfunkel) and as much as I liked Bob Dylan’s acoustic sound, when he went electric, it blew me away. I immediately went out and purchased his new LP BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME and to this day, it is still my favorite Dylan LP. . That year, many of Bob Dylan’s folk following looked at him as a traitor for going electric with the likes of Al Kooper, Mike Bloomfield, Barry Goldberg in the studio and on the road his backup artists was the group known later as simply THE BAND.  The tracks for the Electric LP are TELL ME, MOMMA – I DON’T BELIEVE YOU – BABY, LET ME FOLLOW YOU DOWN – JUST LIKE TOM THUMB’S BLUES – LEOPARD-SKIN PILL-BOX HAT – ONE TOO MANY MORNINGS – BALLAD OF A THIN MAN – LIKE A ROLLING STONE. LOVE AND THEFT - Double LP. This is Bob Dylan’s 43rd Album and starts out as just another good Bob Dylan Album then kicks the door wide open into new territory. Bob Dylan is still reigning King of Musical Contradiction and poignant word play is back with his most focused well-played collection since 1989’s OH MERCY. Listening to the fade in of the opener - Tweedledee Tweedledum - and it is clear that all Dylan’s road work has sharpened him and his band (including guitarist Charlie Sexton) into a mighty musical weapon. A sturdy mid-temp medley makes - Mississippi - the equal of the best numbers on TIME OUT OF MIND, which it was actually written for. He convincingly puts over the R&B Swing number - Summer Days. Honest With Me - is a driving rocker that packs a genuine punch. And the light lounge-like - Bye And Bye - and the south land ramble - Floater - show extraordinary confidence. He labeled these songs blues based but in typical Dylan fashion what would promise to be the most overtly blues number here - High Water - (with Charlie Patton) sounds like a banjo based gunfighter ballad. But then that’s the artist gift confounding expectations. Other songs included are - Lonesome Day Blues - Moonlight - Honest With Me - Po’ Boy - Cry Awhile - Sugar Baby STREET LEGAL- 180 Gram Limited Edition OUT OF PRINT - This album, like any Dylan album, is a reflection of Dylan’s ability to change and change he does. From his early folk sound to his later folk/rock to the Dylan rock of Blonde on Blonde and then there’s his country sound on Self Portrait and Nashville Skyline. This is what real Dylan fans like most about bob. You never know what he’s going to do next. There are a few things that stand out on STREET LEGAL: the brass, the backup singers.. But most impressive is that voice! It drips with authenticity and persuasive power. STREET LEGAL represents some of Dylan’s most literary writing if one considers “Changing of the Guards” and “No Time to Think” Equally impressive is the second half of the album: “We Better Talk This Over”, “Where Are You Tonight”, and “Is Your Love In Vain?” One has to appreciate the narrator of “Is Your Love In Vain” asking the woman if she can match his passion. A must collectible sonic gem for any Dylan fan!! GREATEST HITS - BOB DYLAN - GREATEST HITS VOL. I - 180 Gram Limited Edition classic LP high-definition Virgin Vinyl pressing for superior fidelity (last stereo pressing ever made). This is a collection of 10 of the greatest anthems of the 1960’s. Here we get a sampling of everything from early folk protest Dylan- (Blowin’ In The Wind - The Times They Are A-Changing’) to the stoned/semi-psychedelic Dylan (Mr. Tambourine Man, Rainey Day Women - better known as “The Everyone Must Get Stoned” song), to sneering electric Dylan (Like a Rolling Stone, Positively Fourth Street.) The album isn’t assembled chronologically, nor categorized but makes for a great listen giving a brief overview of Dylan’s 60’s work ..though by no means a full representation of his work from that era. The album was a record company idea put out after Dylan secluded himself from public view and the recording studio after his motorcycle accident in 1966. Though he had a few bona-fide hit singles (and many cover versions of his songs have been turned into big hits by other artists), Dylan was never a singles artist. It was Dylan who introduced the concept of an album as a flowing complete work, rather than just a collection of songs. Tracks include: Rainy Day women #12 and 35 - Blowing in the Wind - The times They Are A-Changing - It Ain’t Me Babe - Like A Rolling Stone - Mr. Tambourine Man - Subterranean Homesick Blues - I Want You - Positively 4th Street - Just Like A Woman.
