SquareTrade © AP6.0 Whitehorse Music 3/4 size GLIGA I violin Beautiful violin handcrafted in Romania. Gliga violins have an extremely rich, mellow, warm sound that makes practice irresistable! You will be delighted with the smooth, warm tone of these violins. Gliga violins are made in the European Tradition to the high standard set by the acclaimed maker, Mr. Vasile Gliga. They are hand varnished with a German oil varnish which gives it a nice 'woody' matte finish, and also the lovely rich sound. Additionally, all of our violins are professionally set-up by Richard Bodinnar, our in-house Luthier (violin repairer). This set-up takes at least an hour on each violin, fixing the soundpost, carving out a new high quality French bridge, fixing the pegs and the nut - please refer to set-up info in detail below! We put a new high quality French bridge (worth $55) and Thomastik Dominant strings or better (worth $70) which improves the quality of the sound considerably! Do not be fooled by other claims of "professional set-up": The term 'set-up' can be used very loosely in reference to simply putting a bridge under the strings. PLEASE NOTE!!: Without all these work on the violin, it will NOT sound good. **A $755 violin with a good professional setup, will sound better than violin worth twice as much which has not been setup.** Only string specialist shops like Whitehorse Music, with an on site luthier (violin maker/repairer), can bring a Gliga violin to its full potential. The 3/4 Gliga I violin comes with a quality blue-line case (worth $85) and bow (worth $55): Shaped Case - with Suspension by "FPS" Wood ply shell and full of features! Made in China. Exterior: Nacy blue weather resistant case cover, adjustable back pack style straps, large external accessories pocket and side handle. Interior: Cushioned green velour with padded suspension, 2 bow compartment and blanket. Bow: Bow made from Brazilwood. All violins violas and 'cellos from Whitehorse Music are professionally set up to Whitehorse Music's high-standards, which is as follows: *High quality fitted French AUBERT bridge to greatly improve strength of sound and playability. The Bridge is upgraded to a high grade French bridge which is hand carved and shaped so that the feet accurately fit to the surface of the violin belly and the bridge is arched accurately for the four strings. The fitting of the bridge has an important influence on the timbre of sound and resistance to the bow. *German String Adjusters or German Wittner Tailpiece to make it easier to tune. *NEW soundpost fitted AND adjusted to make the sound more even across the strings. The soundpost is cut from higher grade wood post and is placed inside the instrument with a sound post setter and gradually shaped to fit the inside surfaces. Much time, effort and technique is put into the adjusting and positioning of the sound post, as it affects the timbre of sound and the playability of the instrument considerably! *Fitted pegs (the pegs are not fitted correctly in manufacturing) At Whitehorse Music they are fitted, adjusted and soaped. The shape of the pegs and the holes into which they fit is adjusted by a special reamer to accurately bore out the holes and a peg-shaver which forms the peg shaft. When the pegs and box are fitted, there will be little problem of the pegs slipping and you will find it a lot easier to tune and stay in tune. *Lowered nut: The groves where the strings sit at the base of the fingerboard are left too high in manufacturing, and they are lowered by our in-house Luthier to suit the player. *Re-strung with high quality strings for better sound and playability. The strings are upgraded to high quality European made strings. Various brands are tested on each instrument in order to match the strings which are most suited to that particular instrument. High quality strings greatly improves the quality of the tone and response of the instrument. *Test-played by Violin / Viola / 'cello Specialists. Don't be under-cut in quality and sound with a mediocre "professional setup". Our violins will sound better as they are HANDPICKED, and meticulously set-up by a professional in-house Luthier, Richard Bodinnar. PAYMENT OPTIONS There are the following payment options: 1.
