It comprises some of the rarest and best condition copies ever to be offered for sale. For some of the highlights, please take a look at my 'About Me' page. This MINT 1965 STEREO disc is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3075 Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims. The 'KT' tax/price code is visible around the centre hole of the side 1 label. Housed in a rare front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a black stereo logo in the upper right corner of the front panel. Copies with such black or silver stereo logos were produced in extremely small quantities, possibly for export only. Complete with its original plain white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve. Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3 Stamper numbers: 2/GH & 2/GA Disc weight: 163g CONDITION Disc Labels: MINT A perfect set with no spindle trails to either label. Visual: MINT Both sides of this pristine disc are totally unmarked and 'as new' when viewed in strong daylight. There are absolutely no surface marks or scratches anywhere of any kind. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp revealed no traces of wear, giving the impression that this disc has rarely, if ever been out of its cover. This unusually heavy disc lies 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping. Audio: MINT This wonderful sounding copy plays totally 'as new' throughout. My careful playcheck at volume uncovered absolutely no evidence of any playwear or background noise to any track or channel. Both run-ins and all bands play totally silently. You will not find a better looking or sounding copy. Cover: EXCELLENT This incredibly rare variant retains its vibrant high-gloss front laminate which displays just 3 tiny 'thumbnail' creases on Ringo's face and a few insignificant edge wrinkles, but no other wear. All corners are clean & sharp, without any bruising or rubbing and both opening edges are undamaged with no 'pushes' or tears. The rear panel is nice & white with just some evidence of tape residue along the opening edge, but no writing or missing paper. All the flipbacks are clean & intact and both seams are smooth, unstressed and unsplit. The spine is perfectly white, clean & straight with a perfectly worded text. Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT Apart from some natural age-toning to the paper, this is clean & flat with no splits, tears or writing.
