This beautiful stand: Is a hardwood with an attractive dark cherry finish The platform to hold the book is a roomy 15.5" wide x 15.25" high and .5" thick. Has a top that is set to about a 45 degree angle Has a wooden guard that keeps papers or books from slipping (ledge is 1" out and 1/2" thick) Height is fixed to the top of the table at 41.5" and to the bottom it measures 30.5" The top wood is 1/2" thick Each leg is 9" from the center making the bottom about 27" in diameter The middle rod is about 2" in diameter. Easy assembly required.
