BEATLES Very Rare 5" Reel to Reel "Yesterday & Today" Start Price USD 9.99 Current Price USD 74.99 Time Left - Bid Count 3 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, September 04, 2008 End Time Sunday, September 07, 2008 Location Austin, Texas See more about 'BEATLES Very Rare 5" Reel to Reel "Yesterday & Today"' Description   The Beatles, EXTREMELY RARE,  5" Reel to Reel Tape, "The Beatles Yesterday And  Today" in very fine condition.  This tape is an unusually rare find, and perfect for the Audiophile/ Beatles/ Reel-to-Reel collector.   This tape is the original,  5" reel, vintage 60's Capitol Full Dimensional Stereo recording YT2553, recorded in England, on 4 Track/ 3 3/4IPS.  It comes with the original 5 1/4" Capitol brown box.  The tape has been preplayed and is deemed to be complete and exceptional in sound quality.  This is truly amazing, considering the recording is over  45 years old.  The 5 1/4" brown box is complete, without torn or broken edges; it is, however, slightly discolored (due to age) and exhibits very light random marks (nothing that distracts), and one small, very slight 1/4" water spot above Ringo's head (mentioned for accuracy).  The continuous lable that wraps around the top-edge to the lower box  is separated from the lower box, but is complete-- not torn, nor damaged in any way.  It is folded-over, complete, and wrapped around the edge of the upper lid.  It has not been touched or reglued to the upper lid to preserve the integrity of this item. It appears that yellow "leader tape" was attached to the very beginning of the reel at some point in time.  This was actually a good idea, for it provides protection to the tape "ends."  The ends can easily be damaged and/or torn during  fast forward/rewind on players.  The "added" leader tape ensures that the original recording tape remains "intact" and starts, as intended, within a few seconds of play. "The Beatles Yesterday and Today" on 5"  4-track Reel to Reel Tape is ofered in Very Fine Condition.  The overall recording is clean and with minimal hiss or distortion.  All songs, listed on the reel, are complete, and offered in full dimensional stereo.  The recording is full-range Biasonic processing (as indicated by gold star sticker on front of box), recorded in England 1966, and made in USA factories.  Distributed by Capitol EMI Tape in full dimensional sound.  The box, although worn and slightly discolored, is complete without rips, tears, or writing.  The overall condition is rated as Very Good ++.
