Here is a beautiful UK first pressing of the Beatles UK debut album (and their first album anywhere in the world,) PLEASE PLEASE ME. This copy, with the rare black & gold labels, was available for only a few weeks before Parlophone changed their label design to the more familiar Yellow & Black design. The gold label copies, therefore, are highly sought after as the "first of the first" pressings. This very clean copy has the second label variation with the "Northern Songs" publishing designation; in our opinion, both variations are equally rare and desirable. This rarity is almost never found this clean; the disc grades EX/VG++, and sounds great, with no pops, skips or audible flaws of any kind. There are some light and silent scuffs, but overall this is a very clean example. The all important labels are in NM condition. The correct Ernest J. Day & Co. "large mono" cover grades EX+; is extremely clean with the only flaw being a tiny match-head sized piece missing from the back cover's bottom flipback (on the bottom left corner) , and two very very slightly dinged corners. This has -1N master numbers, and -1T & -1N stamper numbers. This is a wonderful copy of a historically important, highly collectible, and fantastic album.HERE'S A NOTE I RECEIVED FROM AN EBAYER THIS WEEK:  Thus record is a beauty ...
