Hi Guys, Up for sale is the best 5 string bass I have ever had the pleasure of playing. It is an alembic (see www.alembic.com if you don't know them) Legendary bass custom shop from the states. This bass is a 34 inch scale, is SOOOOO comfortable to play, and has such an awesome tone variety!!! It can thunder with the best of them... or ping and pop to your hearts content. The electronics are the Alembic "Rogue" electronics... Has one volume, one blend and one tone pot and a Q switch... Q switch basically switches the tone knob from cutting off the bass (like a Jazz bass does) or cutting of the Treble (leaving the bass) Gives you the ability to dial up heaps of awesome tones. It also has two 3 way quick tone change swithces Bass switch... Boost, flat and Cut.... and a treble Boost, flat and Cut, great for if your playing finger style and want to change to a slap tone with the flick of a switch... or to boost the bass for a solo up the neck... As it shows in the photos... the bass has side LEDs... powered by 4 9v batteries (seperate from tone circuit and pickups) Great if your playing on stage in the dark... can see where you are going!!! Or just to look cool...) The bass comes in a awesome flight case, it is bullet proof... has wheels so you can wheel it around... Awesome. (The bass actually shipped to me from Nashville in the case alone... perfect!) If you are after a killer bass... this is awesome... I am selling because I need the money... and I have decided to go back to a 4 string... I would dearly love to keep this bass... but $$$$ prevail... my loss will be someone's lucky players gain..... The bass is in great condition... it has a few small dings (don't show up well in photos... dings are only in finish... apart from a small nick (about the size of a pin head) in the side of the fret-board... it doesn't effect the playability at all... I will try to get a better photo to show it. Bass has a Mahogany body... maple neck with walnut stringers, and beautiful ebony fret-board... Has a flamed walnut top... with a 1/4 inch maple highlight. Bass looks awesome sounds better.
