Mega Rare 1958 U.K. Pressing ARTIE SHAW LP: "ANY OLD TIME" RCA Victor Records (England) # RD 27065 Here is a pressing of this record we have never seen before, on the United Kingdom deep groove RCA Label with the red RCA “lightning bolt” logo. This is a Mono pressing, with “New Orthophonic High Fidelity” on the labels. The dead wax stampings in the trail off areas are “H2JP-7020-2B” on Side One, and ‘H2JP-7021-1B” on Side Two. Although this record has RCA labels, the back cover says it is a product of the Decca Record Company Limited in London. This of course has the ANDY WARHOL clock artwork on the back cover. The record looks like it has rarely been played. The surface is clean with a shiny, glossy luster. A close look under a lamp shows a small amount of superficial surface marking on the vinyl. There are no visible surface scuffs or scratches on either side. It is one of the nicer looking 50 year old records we have seen in awhile. The front cover has the glossy laminate that U.K. jackets of this time period used. The color is vivid and the front retains much of its original gloss, along with a bit of surface wear and light scuffing on the laminate if you look at it under a lamp. The back of the cover has a small amount of light wear and very small dots marked beside some of the song titles. The seams and spine are in nice shape with no splitting. The cover is made of thinner material than a U.S. pressing and has corner creasing and a few small, very light creases around the edges, and light ring wear. All LPs come packaged carefully in a sturdy corrugated box made specifically for mailing LPs plus a cardboard insert. The covers are placed in clear plastic record sleeves. The vinyl is removed from the cover (except for SEALED items) for shipping to prevent seam splitting during shipment. Click here to see our other Ebay listings!
