Up for auction is one of the most extensive Jazz / Big Band music collections you’ll ever find on eBay.   There are close to 740 CDs covering some of the most acclaimed and influential jazz musicians from the 1930s-1950s.   Most of these titles are long out-of-print.  Many of these big band orchestras and musicians are long forgotten, but at the time, comprised the crème de la crème of the music industry that defined the Golden Age of Radio.  A lot of the performances are live, war-time performances at some of the old-world, elite venues in the U.S. and Europe. This is frankly an incredible personal collection. A lot of CDs are European imports, including extinct labels.  Such as those “Made in the ECC.”  These ECC titles (The European Economic Community was established in 1957 and is an ancestor for what is now the European Union) are very hard to find in the U.S.  In fact, on sites such as Amazon.com,  you won’t be able to sell many ECC discs, much less buy them, for compliance with the rights of foreign market sellers doing business in a particular venue/website (e.g.,  Amazon.com.uk). There are also many collectible CDs, including some very rare Frank Sinatra and Duke Ellington.  Also, in addition to several multi-disc sets, there are almost 4-dozen box sets included.  All are in pristine shape, and include all literature.  They’re at the end of the list below.  And speaking of “shape”: The condition of this entire collection is excellent.  As you might expect, the CDs were extremely well cared for by a gentleman who took a lot of pride in his belongings and spent a pretty penny on his music.  The CDs all come with their cases and artwork and the discs are 95-99% perfect or near perfect.  Shipping.
