Description This 2 Track ("In-Line Heads) reel to reel recording is Mercury Living Presence MDS5-1, recorded at 7.5 ips.  Antal Dorati conducts the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra in Zoltan Kodaly's suite from his opera, Hary Janos.  Toni Koves plays the Cimbalom.  The box is near mint with strong seams and corners, and minimal wear on the art work cover.  And just in case you think this is just another Hary Janos, you would be surprised and pleased at the elements brought out by Dorati which distinctly make this recording a cut above the average.  Additionally, the sound from Northrup Auditorium on the campus of the U. of Minn. on November 17, 1956, with three (3!!) microphones should make modern engineers feel shame at having to use 26 tracks (or more) to produce less satisfying sound!  A very fine production all around.
