Written and taped at the top left corner of box set states LPM-6003 7/13/56 RCA. This is among many I've came across and will list. I believe these were in a record store as some say for demonstration only. I also believe that's why they are in such good condition. This is a 2 album set- still in the original sleeves in VERY GOOD condition. There are a few "x" marks that were written in nonabrasive perhaps record marker- I think this was to mark spots where to play record for demo promotion. I will NOT clean these- I'm leaving them exactly as is. Someone that knows about this can use the proper solution. They look incredible- especially for their age. There is minimal to no marks on these and I'm quite sure they will play beautifully. I don't have a record player anymore (although I have tons of LP's) so the pleasure will be all yours. There is also a PROGRAM AGENDA for Mr. Dorsey the size of the box. It states Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra and goes on with the date which states November 28, 1940 and the time and Origin (which states the Hotel Commodore and much more). This has a LONG excerpt about Dorsey and the orchestra and lists each performer by name & instrument and at the end it states: ANNCR: and it states exactly what the announcer was to say. The back page of the program is all 4 sides; each song, the date they were written and more. This is in the RCA VICTOR logo heavy cardboard box. A few corners need reinforced (of which I will NOT do also)- other than that this is all in great shape. Someone also typed entries on a paper and taped to front of box- tape is so old it's yellowed. I'm leaving this EXACTLY as it is and you do as you will with it. I know with ALL OLD items- NEVER ALTER THEIR CONDITION. So, you can determine what needs to BE or NOT to be done to this. Although wiened in the '70's, being a musician myself, Tommy Dorsey is one of my favorites! His introduction of his type of music to the world was phenominal THEN and NOW! In great appreciation of his style and mood he created- I KNOW if you are a fan you will LOVE THIS SET! Amazing!MADE BY: RCA VICTOR Records/LPM-6003 SIZE: Standard 33 1/3 Large Album Size CONDITION: Very Good/Exc COMMENTS: Items are from everywhere- VINTAGE to NEW.
